Event Dates: Location: To: All Vendors and Sponsors The National Capital Cat Show is quickly approaching. I want to thank you for your support and participation. To make the show a success for all involved, I am concentrating on increasing our attendance and would like your help. Please feel free to jump in and promote the show in any of the following ways. 1. Advertise in the Washington Times Supplement. As those of you that have participated in previous years know, the Washington Times full color supplement provided the show with incredible exposure in thousands of homes in the Washington, D.C.-area. The supplement is printed only if the required amount of advertising is submitted. You should have received a message from Shannon Roberts providing details about the discounted advertising opportunities that are available. If you have not placed an ad yet, please contact Shannon at sroberts@washingtontimes.com to arrange for your ad. Don't forget that each vendor is listed by product categories in the booklet along with a map that indicates your location. We had this publication out at the gate to enable people to find you easier. 2. Advertise the show on your web site. Several vendors and sponsors have asked me to provide a logo or graphic for their web site. I have attached a coupon for the show that you may place on your Web site. We encourage you to help use get the word out by placing the coupon and information about the show on your site. You can also like to the show web site at www.nationalcapitalcatshow.com. 3. Send mailings to your personal mailing lists. Every year, some vendors send post cards to their customer lists inviting them to come to the show. We encourage everyone to do this. You can turn the postcard into a coupon that we will honor if you include the following phrase on it at the bottom: "Bring this postcard to show to receive $1.00 off one admission. This offer may not be combined with other offers." 4. Send information to customers in e-newsletters or email. If you do a regular newsletter, please consider announcing the event in the newsletter. You can either use the coupon in the article or have people print the newsletter page to get the dollar off. Make sure you use our disclaimer in the above in message 3. Finally, you can just send an email announcement to your customers and contacts and have them print the email as a coupon. Again, make sure the disclaimer is in the email. People can print one copy of the email or coupon for each person in their party. With your help getting the word out, we can make this show bigger and better than ever. Thanks, Dawn M. Shiley
