Youth Volunteers

FCRT loves to see the area youth get involved in community service! We welcome all youth ages 13 to 18 who are willing to commit to at least 8 hours each month. Youth Volunteers typically assist at adoptions by caring for the cats, cleaning out cages when cats get adopted, and acting as our eyes and ears when potential adopters are looking at our precious kitties. We offer a great opportunity for a parent and youth to volunteer together - either as cat care givers (see Volunteering - Cat Care) or at adoption fairs (see Volunteering - Adoptions). ** Please note that no one under the age of 18 is permitted inside the Adoption Center without adult supervision.**

GETTING STARTED: Please complete the Youth Volunteer Application and submit it to us by email, fax or mail. Please remember to have your parent/guardian sign the attached Waiver and Release. Once your application has been reviewed, you will be contacted by the Adoption Center Manager for the area that you indicated is your preferred area. The Adoption Center Manager will discuss with you the opportunities that are available at that particular store.
